Testo AG and the "Green City" of Freiburg Join Forces for the Expo 2010 in Shanghai
03.06.2010
Testo AG will be exhibiting, in cooperation with the "Green City" of Freiburg im Breisgau, at the World Exposition 2010 from May to October in Shanghai. The measurement technology experts from the Black Forest will be presenting modern environment measuring instruments for energy efficiency, primarily in the fields of thermography and emission measurement.
With its ambitious environmental policies and a political and civil commitment to renewable energy sources, Freiburg has made a name for itself as a "Green City", with a multitude of ecological, technological and organisational solutions.
Testo AG is a world leader in the manufacture of precision measuring technology. Whether in the fields of industrial emission measurement, building thermography or heating and ventilation applications, Testo provides high-tech measuring equipment for the most demanding requirements. Testo instruments are put to use worldwide as tools for environmental protection work.
In the run-up to the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, the government of the People’s Republic of China, supported by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), turned to Testo as a provider of highly accurate measuring instruments in their efforts to reduce flue gas emissions, in order to improve air quality in the city of Beijing. The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Environmental Protection now uses the Testo 350 portable industrial emissions analyser to carry out regular checks on all companies – such as fossil-fuelled power stations – whose activities have an effect on the energy balance. With its high level of precision and the longevity of its electrochemical gas sensors, the Testo 350 emissions analysis system has proved to be the ideal partner.
In the Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, Testo AG will have the opportunity of presenting thermal imagers as well as emission measuring equipment, for applications involving the assessment of the thermal efficency of buildings, as a partner of the "Green City" of Freiburg.
